Since this was my first Wolfgang Puck Keurig K-Cup ever , I was very excited to taste it and see what all the fuss was about. I drank this after a 4 1/2 mile walk. It's the end of June, and I'm finding that even though it's not super hot outside, I'm preferring a lighter roast than during the cold winter months. So, this is rated as a medium roast . I set my Keurig at 6 oz and I thought was a perfect cup of coffee. No bitter aftertaste, just a light but full tasting cup of coffee. In the winter, this would be a great choice for after lunch or my afternoon cup of coffee. In the summer - it's great any time of tday.

I tried Rodeo Drive as my first WP K-Cup too. My impression was a little different. I was disapointed that it didn't have more flavor and I thought it had to much "acid" finish. Not a bad coffee, just less then I had expected after all the hype.

This coffee is said to be a medium roast. I disagree. This one is surely a DARK roast. I even cut open the foil lid and compared to my other medium roasts. (It's very dark) Ok, so anyway, I don't like dark roast coffee's so I'm not sure how to judge one. I thought it had a strong burnt smell, with a strong yucky taste. I poured it out.

The k-cup says it's a medium roast, but it tasted like a dark roast than what I consider a medium roast. You get some of the some of the flavors associated with a darker roast (it's a little smoky) without the bitter aftertaste. Overall this is a very solid coffee.
