Very light!
This is my second review on this one. I last tried it a year ago and liked it very much. Now I have it back in my kitchen and need to say that it's very week. I do still love the smooth sweetness of it, but now I brew it on the 6oz setting, so it's perfect for my morning start! Thank you for considering. Lori, 1QuickCup ambassador

Although I set my Keurig at 6oz, the Caribou Daybreak tasted a bit too weak for my morning taste buds. While the name might be Daybreak, this is more of a coffee that I might enjoy after dinner, or for an afternoon coffee break where I want a light taste. In the morning, I like my coffee dark, rich and powerful. Compared to other light roasts, this tasted more watered down than light. I have had Daybreak at the Caribou coffee shops and generally like Daybreak. However, I think the K-Cup version doesn't do the name justice.

The above review is quite accurate but please take note that she likes a stronger coffee in the morning. If you also do, then this would be to mellow for you. But, I like a mild brew for the first cup of the morning because I have a sensitive palate. So I have found much enjoyment with this Caribou Morning coffee. What some would call "weak" I would call "sweet n'smooth" I do have other's I use after my morning hour has passed. So this coffee is what it is... and I like enough to keep it next to my brewer at ALL times. (BTW, I have tried all the other morning blends)

Despite being a mild blend, I didn't find this coffee to be weak at all. It smells great when brewing, had good body, was sweet without any bitterness at all. Great for those mornings when you want a good coffee without an assault on your palate. I would definitely buy this again!

This is our "go to" coffee. It's very smooth, well balanced, refreshing cup of coffee. This one of the coffees we ALWAYS have on hand. It's a nice coffee for any time of day. The aroma is not too strong and it has a slightly sweet flavor that I like.

Probably my favorite light blend on the K-cup market. It has a sweet, mild aroma that doesn't overload the morning senses, and is followed up by that same flavor. Nice body for a lighter coffee, and wonderful flavor. I am more a medium bodied fan, but I do appreciate this lighter blend. Ranks in my top 5 K-cup blends.

I'm a 1quickcup ambassador and today I'm trying Caribou Coffee's, Daybreak Morning Blend. They use about 50% Rainforest Alliance coffee so they can put the Rainforest Alliance certifacation on the coffee. The aroma is light with hints of cinnamon and maybe a little frankincense. Kind of spicy. The brewed color is a darker, opaque brown. The mouth feel is light to medium. The flavor is quite mild, fairly low acid, just a little spicy with a hint of a bitter, ashy finish. If you look for a mild, nondiscript cup for your first cup of the day this would be a good choice.

Caribou's Description

Caribou labeled Daybreak Morning Blend as a light roast, but I could tell right from the first sniff that this was at least a medium roast, medium dark. I would describe the aroma as a nutty medium roast with hint of blueberries.

There was nothing light roast about the taste. It tasted like the beans were dark roasted, then water down. I didn't get any of the fruit flavor mentioned in the description, maybe a hint of spices.

I would be seriously disappointed if I was a light roast coffee drinker and bought a 24 pack of this coffee. This coffee earned a one on the K-Cup scale.
