3.5 stars by Barb Arvanitopulos from 1 Quick Cup Ambassador	Caribou Mahogany This is one STRONG cup of coffee!! I like my coffees dark and strong and this is right up my alley. The color is a dark dark brown. It has a strong "coffee" aroma. It doesn't wake you up gently it the morning, it's like a shrill alarm clock that just jolts you awake!! It is fairly full bodied, but not as complex as my favorite sumatras and other dark blends. It is not bitter. This may not be my favorite dark roast, but it is a good cup of coffee that I like to have on the shelf. I will experiment with this in the summer over ice. It should hold up nicely!
5.0 stars by Anonymous	I'm a huge Caribou fan. When I make a full pot of coffee, and yes I still do make a pot of coffee, I almost always brew Caribou Mahogany. So, when I discovered that I could get my favorite flavor in all the convenience of a k-cup, I was absolutely ecstatic. The Caribou Mahogany K-Cup did not disappoint. It has all the great flavor and depth of the coffee I have come to love. If you like a deep rich coffee, try this one.
4.0 stars by Terra Darnall	Full, rich, dark brew that didn't taste burned. Mildly bitter, with a mild sweetness to balance, the finish is terrific. Not a fan of dark roasts usually, but Caribou Mahogany is an exception.
5.0 stars by David Ingram	If your apartment is filled with many leather bound books, then this coffee is for you. Mild bitter finish but with dark earthy tones up front. No burned aftertaste. One of my favorite k-cups.

Mahogany is a dark brew that is rugged by nature and roasted to perfection. Coffees from Sumatra, Guatemala, and El Salvador are combined to achieve a perfectly balanced blend. Sumatra provides Mahogany's bold dry spice and aromatic wood flavors, while the hint of floral and vanilla of Guatemala wonderfully complements the primary Indonesian flavors.

Caribou's Description

I'll admit, I was scared of this one too. The Mahogany name alone was enough to make me want to take a pass. However, I'm glad I tried this one.

It did have a dark, dark aroma. The taste was dark too, but not over the top like Caribou Blend. It didn't have all of the flavors roasted out of it. I picked up on a Latina American spiciness around around the edges with a nutty/woody flavor in the middle.

It was also exceptionally smooth.

This is a dark roast that I could drink on a regular basis. It earned a 3.5 on the Daily Shot Of Coffee scale.
