Mmmmmmm... This chilly fall morning, the aroma of Gingerbread was filling my kitchen. Not because of holiday baking, but my coffee! This was a "pretty good" cup of coffee. I felt it had more of a cinnamon flavor than a ginger flavor. It also had a slightly thin/watery mouth feel. I would have given it a 5 out of 10 "plain" but I added some creamer, which definately enhanced the flavor (And I normally do NOT add creamer, but for me, this kcup needed it) I also added a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkling of ginger and nutmeg on top for a nice weekend treat. While I wouldn't drink this every day, it is nice for an occasional treat.

Gingerbread is one coffee flavor I never considerd until it came out again this year (seasonal). I brewed a cup in the mini and discovered it is pretty good. Understand I don't usually drink flavored coffees since I prefer the darker blends. Now I'm wondering what it would taste like if I brewed it and used it as the liquid in a real gingerbread recipe? After all, gingerbread with a cup of coffee-- Or if I brewed it on the 6 oz setting with the GJ Butter Toffee? Or......... You get the idea--use it for more than that quick-pickk-me-up. What would you use it for? Cream anyone?

This morning I was VERY excited to brew this LIMITED holiday flavor with my mini-Keurig! As I listened to it brewing the aroma filled the air! It smelled like Gingerbread cookies cooking in the oven. I anticipated trying it since I LOVE gingerbread anything - normally! So, I took a sip while it was still steaming and it was fantastic! Sometimes, you can get a little too much gingerbread flavor with some coffees that makes me a bit sick! This was NOT the case! I added a bit of half and half and I was in gingerbread heaven! I would strongly recommend getting out there and purchasing a box - it is worth trying if you enjoy a mild flavored coffee that tastes similar to a gingerbread cookie. As a matter of fact, I enjoyed it so much today - I am on my second cup - I need to get ready for Black Friday shopping tonight and this is just the thing to help! ENJOY!
