This is my 2nd choice for Kona behind Coffee People's. I love a smooth dark blend and this fits the bill!

This is one of my top 5! Love Love Love this coffee! It has the body of a dark roast with the smooth mellowness of the medium that it is. No bitterness, a bit of it's own sweetness. This is what it would feel like if coffee could hug you.

Tully's Kona Blend has a nice bold richness and the added Kona flavor I love. All of Tully's coffees tend to be smooth and do not have any harsh side tastes that some other brands have.

Tully's Kona Blend is my number one coffee choice. The smooth and bold flavor is a true pleasure to experience. There is no bitterness in this savory cup of coffee. Tully's Kona is a staple in our home and has been enjoyed by many of our family and friends.

Overall Rating: 3 Out Of 5 Coffee Mugs
Usually, I make every K-Cup on the normal size setting, including the extra bolds. In the past, all of the extra bolds have just been too much for me, drowning out any of the other coffee flavors.
However, after hearing from regular reader howard and other K-Cup fanatics, and even though it says nothing about this on the marketing or packaging that I've ever seen, I made a large cup of coffee with more water to balance out the 'bold' of this coffee.
It made a difference!
As far as aroma, it was sweet with a hint of nuts and I picked up on a fruity scent that Tully's describes as plum. Not sure that I've ever smelled plum in a Kona coffee before, but it wasn't a bad smell either.
Using more water to balance out the bold, allowed a smooth, spicy flavor to come out. Again, not exactly anything like a Kona that I remember, but not a bad taste either.
Tully's Extra Bold Kona Blend also earned an average three on the K-Cup scale. A good coffee, but I don't know how much Kona was really in it.
